Objective of the programme

1. To empower the youth with current modern ICT information and technologies for sustainable development.
2. To capacity build the youth with ICT skills and knowledge for the purpose of employment creation, generation of income and business development.

Description of the programme
This programme involves capacity building for the youth on digital literacy in areas of technology, online communication, digital & social media marketing, blogging and computer training.

Activities

1. Digital Literacy Awareness - This entails basic information on use of digital platforms and the opportunities they provide.
2. Digital Social Marketing- This covers business marketing through on line platforms including Face book, Whatsapp, Twitter, Instagram etc.
3. Blogging-Use of this platform for income generation and sharing of information.
4. Online Work- This Includes Research, Surveys and Academic Purposes.
5. Website Development- This entails its creation and utilization for social and business purposes.
6. ICT4D- this entails use of ICT for development applications.

Achievements

1. Conducted several workshops on digital literacy with Ark Digital Marketing at Machakos, Nyeri Polytechnic and Langata prison in 2016-2017
2. Conducted a training workshop on digital literacy with the Machakos Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Africa 118 at Machakos Kafoca hotel in 2017.
3. Attended several workshops and conferences of ISOC, KICTANET, AFRINIC in 2017
